google-analytics We’ve gotten many requests to explain how to set up Google Analytics for Sprouts, so in this post we’ll share a video tutorial that explains how to do just that. *Designer and Professional levels only.

  • I don’t get the google analytics form in the publish window?

  • Is the “publishing options” only for the non-free accounts? When I publish, it goes directly to distribuion options.

The edit Sprout information button in the Sprout builder doesn’t have Analytics options.

  • Yeah, currently this feature is only available to the paid levels of Designer and Professional. Please upgrade if you would like to use the Google Analytics feature.

  • Cool feature. However a very important tracking info doesn’t seem to be available: which site (or network) is the Sprout being displayed on?

The “Source” dimension is always “(Direct)”…

  • The reason that the source is “Direct” is because the referrer information is not made known to Flash (the Sprout). Here’s a thread that discusses some of the more technical workings of this situation.
