A new eMarketer study is out that shows that consumers are aligning with brands on social networks.
From the report: 52% of social network users had become a fan or follower of a company or brand, while 46% had said something good about a brand or company on a social networking Website—double the percentage who had said something negative (23%).

The ACPL funnel leaves a lot to be desired in the world of social media. Take a look at a new model that puts two-way communication back into the equation.
Bruce La Fetra from Rubicon Consulting presented the LOVE model at the Sprout Social Media Summit a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been thinking about what it means for social media. Rubicon’s LOVE model illustrates how marketers need to change their style to adapt to consumer expectations in an era when communicating with your customers is the norm, not the exception. On Tuesday, 8/18/2009, Sprout hosted our second social media summit in Los Angeles. Over 65 social media connoisseurs were in attendance to view presentations by Myspace, Schematic and Sprout. As to be expected with a social media summit, the presentations were short but the questions and answer were long and engaging. The questions ranged from personal vs. co-branding to running Facebook contest and everything in between.

We just released version 2.3 of Sprout. With every release of Sprout we improve, fix and innovate our products. In this post, I will outline all the major feature improvements and additions from the 2.3 release. You will see some changes and improvements in Sprout Builder and Sprout Engage campaigns. I will do my best to add images for added effect (where available).

Twitter: Alignment when the picture is disabled is now fixed, margins have been tightened up, compatibility with all the twitter search operators are now supported when using the “containing” option. (more…)
